I have a Sandisk MP3 and I used to be allowed to add/delete songs.. but now... it's crap?

Question

I have no idea what could have made it impossible to take songs off. But I tried going through to the Sandisk Icon through my computer and I can't see the songs.. but they're there. I downloaded about 6 more songs on there which I can delete but it's only 6. I use media player and for some reason now I can also play the 6 songs I have on there on media player, which wasn't possible before... but my problem I can't delete anymore than these 6 to make room for more songs.

maybe you locked them so you couldn't delete them and then when you got the next songs, you didn't lock them so you were able to erase them.
