Avoid Confirm Clearly or Clearly Confirm (I can't remember exactly the name of the test as I've never seen it but have heard the horror stories of false positives with it. You can even google it.)
The main thing to remember when looking to buy a HPT is the amount of HCG each test will measure. Some will measure the smallest amount (20) and some won't measure anything until later on (say about 50-100 or so.) You should try PEEONASTICK.COM they've an EXCELLENT rundown of all if not most HPTs.
If you'd like, you could try a regular strip test (the stick ones you pee on or dip) and then for clarity, try a digital like say maybe ClearBlue Easy?

I know they all test for the same thing, but I got a positive reading a week before my missed period with a cheap CVS brand test and the expensive EPT said negative. I will stick with CVS brand in the future. Cost me all of $8 for a pack of 2.

I used First Response and ClearBlue...both worked fine...no false negatives or false positives. It really doesn't matter that much though...if the hormone is present at high enough levels to say you are pregnant, any of the tests will find it. Some of them just detect it better than others.

i have had 4 pregnancies, and let me tell you---i was able to detect each one of them with a simple 1.00 test all the way up to the very expensive. what i mean to say, is, it doesn't matter which one you use.
