That the more you go off on gays the more straight people like me who have a gay or lesbian close to my heart are going to come back with a vengence?? The best way for you to get your point across is to keep your mouth shut. I never thought about fighting for their rights until I saw all the Bible preaching horrible people on here. And if you're so against gays WHY come on to their site? Granted I'm not but I don't come on here to judge them I just think they happen to be nicer than most straight people.

I'm a straight chick who fully supports gays. To be honest with you, sometimes I get embarrassed at how vehemently I react when I see people gay bashing. It upsets me to the core, the same way racist and sexist remarks upset me.

As for the gay bashers themselves, I comfort myself in the knowledge that they're fighting a losing battle. There is just no way that the history of the world will continue without passing gay marriage bills or same-sex rights. Why? Because even though it seems like it's taking for freaking ever, the society is evolving. Of course, it takes a few steps back every now and then, but there are enough enlightened people in the world making a push for the dominance of compassion and love that the closed-hearted bigots will have to shut up and stand down, eventually.

And as for people who think God and Jesus (or Allah and Muhammed or Krishna or Buddha, etc) advocate any sort of hatred, they are so backwards they deserve our pity and not our wrath. Anyone who could possibly believe a true spiritual leader would actually recommend damning your fellow men for something that is so utterly harmless as homosexuality is surely living a sad, cold, hollow little life filled with self-hatred and abject confusion.

I feel for them in their endless struggle.

First time visitor here ...

As one of the oldest Sasquatches in the World, I have learned a few things in the last 700+ years!

1.) We are all (well, maybe not me) one people! We are all human and a part of the whole! Dispite our differences!

2.) A gay person cannot be straight anymore than a straight person can be gay! You (humans) cannot be a Sasquatch any more than a Sasquatch can be a human.

3.) Religion is a good thing! We all need to have something greater than 'us' to look up to.

4.) I married and have a daughter with a woman who was (is) gay! I still do and always will love her (my wife, as well as my daughter)!

What is the BIG Deal?

Before I met my lady, I, too, was very much against gays! I have learned that we are all one people. I like purple, you like blue! We are still one people!

Sometimes it takes a special event in our lives to open our eyes! I pray that we all have the opportunity to grow and learn to love one another!

Just MHO,

The Ol' Sasquatch Ü

A little melodramatic on the vengeance thing but it gets the point across. They seem to think that by pushing there beliefs in our face they are somehow "helping". Common sense is not so common.

I was not put here to judge anyone, so the choice is theirs, not mine. Happy Thanksgiving.

GLBT should be happy because we're concerned for their soul. I want to do what I'm called to do until I'm still here on earth for I know one day GLBT will look for us to preach them the gospel but it'll be too late. Do you love them more by encouraging them to live in sin and go to hell? If I love my friend I have to show him/her the right way even though it hurts, he/she will thank me for it tomorrow.
Ok, Jesus loves you keep living in sin because he is love and since he is love nobody is going to hell. Can you imagine how many people would go to hell if the gospel was to be preached that way? The gospel is not to be preached sweet all the time specially in these last days.

I have to agree, it's shameful how the "haters" claim to be Christian and yet "use" religion to justify their bigotry. I think most people would find such prejudice despicable.
thanks for showing us that the majority of straight ARE decent. we need more people like you to show those idiots that THEY are the minority....not us!
