Check if your graphics card is properly configured..Also try to update your graphics driver..If still nothing shnages and you belive there is a virus in your system, install an antivirus solution like norton or mcfee.....In case you do not have any such softwares handy, go here http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm
and click on the free panda activescan logo...It will do a full system scan for viruses and spywares..

Step one look in the clock bar on your pc and turn off all applications that you arn't using.

Step two run a antivirus scan avast is a very good free one

step three run a spy/ad ware scan using Lavasoft Ad-aware also free

step four install a fire wall zonealarm is a good free one.

Step five reboot your comp.

if problem still persists back out important files and reformat your pc.

Probably not a virus. But the only way to be certain is to do a full virus check. If you do not have one installed, you can go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ to do a free virus scan.

Doubt that its a virus, you've probably done something wrong. Try system restore, it usually fixes my problems.
