I 100 % agree with you. He who suffers much will know much says a Greek proverb. Would we ever know the greatness of honey if we had never tasted what the opposite tastes are? Life is so wonderful and though we go through a road of thorns too very often, it is sure worth the journey, b'cas Life always rewards it.
I remember reading somewhere..."Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in a while, so that we can see Life with a clearer view again.” (not sure about who said it). Every suffering in Life has a meaaning...it does not happen just for the sake of happening.
"When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure” -Peter Marshall

You're true about the whole suffering thing, I recently heard this saying, and it is true to nearly everything. With light comes shadows, so for good to be, there has to be bad. I do not feel that this is a perfect world; for it to be a perfect world, Karl Marxs ideas would have had to happen for a truely Communistic society to form, where everybody helps carry the burden equally. A truely perfect world is not even close to being close, and in the future, the distant future, I do believe that a truely perfect world will come.

Of course not ... but it functions as it should.
Dark is the other side of light, Good is the other side of bad, Suffering is the other side of joy, Life is the other side of death.
That's the way it should be in the life we live. It is perfect that way ... it is our nature, and the world's.
Wouldn't it be boring if everything in our own humble lives went perfectly? ... No, I'd like it for a while anyway.
Then what ?
It is not our nature or the nature of the universe.
The pairs of opposites make Being possible ... if everything was pure white, nothing would exist ... if everything was totally black, nothing would exist. There would be no everything in either case.
But, We Are here ... how cool is that?
Thanks for the Q , with love ;

PS All the other answerer's that I read are pretty cool too.

It is a perfect world. Most certainly. The problem arises when you... the Humans ... want to own it totally. Everything in the world has been created so matching.Except the greedy, selfish man.
His suffering , too, is manmade. not nature made.
He is intelligent. Yet he does not see the simple facts of nature. An animal doesnot kill for its "tomorrow`s need. Only for today`s . It is not sure if it will get a chance the next day. yet it does not store for its next years needs. So are the other creatures.
Man? he hoards. In the process brings upon himself all the miseries. I am yet to see a bank used by the animals , hoarding its possessions.
So, man creates problems for himself, solves it and gets into more problems.

suffering can lead to growth and a more compassionate heart which can take a person to a whole new level of thinking and feeling. once you get on the other side of the suffering you might find that it was all for good and you are much happier because of it.
but i dont think we yet live in a perfect world. i think humans will eventually get pretty close to perfection... but we have a lot of room for improvement.

This is far from a perfect world. There is too much confusion. Yes there's a lot of suffering but who chooses who has a easy life and who has a miserable one? Don't tell me we do because do you believe that people in Ethiopia chose to be born there? Do you really people chose to be born to royalty or riches? Would I chose to be born to drug addicts that didn't give a damn about me? We might have the will to try and get out of those situations put how many people try and still can't get out of the ghetto? But we all say we make what we can out of our lives. Do you really believe everyone has a fair ability to do so? How does it seem just when so many are born with defects? Why them, just glad it wasn't me idealism? Think about it we can go on but I believe you get the idea. Peace and love be with you.

no, this isn't a perfect world. it started out a perfect world, but with humans maturing past dragging their hands on the ground, came civilization, and considering drunk driving, smoking, air pollution, the state of the ozone layer, ect... we humans turned the origanaly 'perfect world' into a pretty messed up place. Oh, sure, people refuse to belive it, but, for those people: take your douts down to google search engine and look up do-do bird. or the number of drunk drivers killed each year. or the number of casulties from smoking. The earth WAS a perfect place at one point... until humanity was born.

I agree whole heartedly. Without pain there is no pleasure. Without night there is no day, etc. The question in lies what your interpretation of perfect is. Perfect is subject to your perception of your world. Therefore if you percieve this world to be the perfect place than it is. I do.

stay in Heaven with God, Jesus, the angels, and absolutely everyone else. The punishment of hell isn't the lakes of hearth and each and everything. the authentic punishment is the separation from god. yet when it replaced into precisely like the backyard of Eden then we does not could come to a call on. God dwelt contained in the backyard of Eden and he replaced into compelled to depart once they sinned because god would not live in an element of sin.

6,000,000 children die from malnutrition a year.
650,000 killed in a war to see which bunch of rich people will control the oil of Iraq.
2,000,000 people in US prison.
Perfect? Are you kidding me!!!
If your such a fan of suffering, here's a thought. Next time you come across a homeless person..give him your credit cards, your bank account and everything you own so you can expereince some of that suffering your so fond of.
In a year..if your still enjoy suffering feel free to continue doing it.
For the rest of us..we think we can do better.
