I'm sure that if you do any search on search engines like Google you will get some "hits". But as far as step by step I'm not sure. What kind of drop are you looking for.. You need to really think about all the factors in dropping your vehicle... First and foremost you need to think about tire wear. I put 2 inch drop coils on the front of my truck and really wish I would have opted for the spindles.. Yes, They cost a little more but doesn't affect the geometry of it. The best way would be with drop spindles on the front and shackles and hangers on the back. There is kits out there to gain more drop in the rear of the truck,, Like Flip kits, But then again that would be something for a shop to do. There is alot of different kits that you can buy out there.. Just remember that something that is cheap is probably not the best thing for you as you still have to have someone install them and then you have to have it aligned.
As far as something being step by step I would not recommend that you just jump into doing this, especially if you have never replaced ball joints, tie rods etc.. as your life depends on it as if something goes wrong or breaks you lose all your steering or your wheel could come off. It would be best to leave something like this to the professionals..

Good Luck.
