As the first trimester closes, your risk of miscarriage decreases greatly. Most miscarriages occur during the first 13 weeks of pregnancy.

For women in childbearing years, the chances of having miscarriage can range from 10-25%, and in most healthy women the average is about 15-20% chance.

An increase in maternal age changes the chances of miscarriage:

* Women under the age of 35 yrs old have about a 15% chance of miscarriage:

* Women aged 35-45 yrs old have a 20-35% chance of miscarriage

* Women over the age of 45yrs old can have up to a 50% chance of miscarriage

* A woman who has had a previous miscarriage has a 25% chance of having another (only a slightly elevated risk than for someone who has not had a previous miscarriage)

So, as you can see, you have surpassed the point of general concern. Of course there are alway exceptions, but based on the limited information provided you are in a good position.

Good luck to you! Wishing you a healthy, happy, worry-free pregnancy....

The chances of miscarriage decrease significantly after the 12th week of pregnancy. At 19 weeks, you are already into the second trimester of gestation, and should have minimal possibilities of experiencing a miscarriage, unless you have a history of habitual spontaneous abortion {3 or more previous miscarriages}. My best wishes for a healthy pregnancy and uncomplicated delivery; hope that my advice has been of help and comfort to you.

well when you hit 20 weeks its not called a miscarriage anymore because the baby has a chance to survive if born.though not a great chance at that early.but i know what your going through!i just kept wanting to get out of the first trimester cause the risk drops greatly.and as for people telling you to stop worrying, well thats ideal in a perfect world but it aint gonna happen!its natural to worry about your baby for the rest of your life!!just read as many books as you can and ask your doc every question you have no matter how stupid you think it is.the more educated you are about pregnancy the less you will worry!

Most miscarriages happen in the first twelve weeks. Over half of all miscarriages are blighted ovums (the egg is fertilized, but never forms)..in these cases, you usually miscarry within the first 8 weeks or many women have what they think is a heavy period.

If you have made it to twelve weeks with a healthy heartbeat, the chances of miscarriage is only 3%, it happens, it has happened to very close friends of mine, but it is rare.

At 19 weeks, it is pretty rare.

it relatively is no longer extraordinary which you're actually not feeling circulation yet, particularly in case you be slightly on the hefty component. maximum women human beings do no longer start to experience the newborn pass till around 18 - 20 weeks extremely much less in the adventure that your smaller initially and it relatively is slightly greater in case you have greater weight. while you're feeling aggravating approximately it communicate on your well being care expert approximately it and he would do an ultrasound for reassurance. in case you nevertheless can no longer experience the newborn by utilising 22 - 24 weeks then i'd start to rigidity. As for the under pressure leg syndrome, I even have the comparable difficulty and that i come across that doing pre natal yoga at nighttime earlier I lay down gets me very rested and enables me to sleep much less confusing (in spite of the undeniable fact that final nighttime i actually fell asleep whilst doing the resting poses on the top of the tape. Which I dont recomment because of the fact waking up on the floor became no longer very mushy haha). stable success, hopefully you will start to experience him/her quickly and are able to get greater mushy :)

I've heard from doctors and websites that state once you are out of your 1st trimester (13 weeks about 3 months along) then your chances for a miscarriage are greatly slimmed. Good Luck

12 weeks was the first safety mark you hit where the chances lessen a lot. 24 weeks will be te next one. That is the earliest a baby could be delivered and have a fighting chance at survival.

Usually once you see or hear the heartbeat, the chances decrease dramatically. But at 19 weeks, you should be fine, unless there are extreme circumstances.
Congrats.
