Doing a project and wanted to know does an object's measurement, whether it be diameter or length, increase or decrease when you look at it under a magnifying glass and measure it there and compare it to the actual measurement?

If you place the ruler next to the object, both the object and the ruler will get larger at the same rate. If you place the ruler above the magnifying glass, the object gets larger, the ruler remains the same size.

Hi. If you measure with both the object and your measurement device magnified if makes no difference.

it should increase from that perspective if you measure the image on the lense. the object doesnt physically change though

It only looks bigger, the measurement remains constant. Looking at an elephant backwards through binoculars won't allow you to pick it up with tweezers.
