Is the coach on Friday Night Lights. Does anyone remember him from a show called "Homefront"? It aired on ABC back in 1991-1992.

WOW!! I thought I was the only one that watched that show. It was a great show and yes, it is too bad it only ran two seasons. Don't think I'd drink his bath water though - sorry.

I loved Homefront! That was such a well done show about WWII, and he was with Ginger (Tammy Lauren -I think she's on the Y & R now). His name was Jeff Metcalf and his family was suffering through the war.
That show depicted racism, and anti semitism so perfectly. It really helped me to understand how much the world has changed in a relatively short period of time and how far we still have to go.
I believe that show is still on in re-runs on cable. It's so sad it only ran 2 years that show would have had me right through Jeff and Ginger's kids in the flower power years and beyond.

He started on Homefront, then went to Early edition for a good run, he was the bad guy in Rob Lowe's West Wing follow up Lyon's Den(which lasted 2 weeks ) and now he's on Friday Night Lights which is in danger of cancellation, but could move to a new night, as American Idol returns to Fox in FNL's same time slot, and they know it won't survive that

Yeah, and this other show what the heck was it where he used to get the newspaper the day before, and stop all the bad things from happening Early Edition yeah I used to watch that...

I had a huge crush on him in Homefront! I loved that show and was so sad when they cancelled it.

More recently he was in the movie King Kong and he got blown up on Grey's Anatomy
