Indeed!
Wisconsin was picked 7th in the Big Ten this year. He agressively works the referees during the game. He is an excellent time manager (the offsides move against Penn State). He picked a great staff around him and added a new depth to the play calling. Many brush off Wisconsin because the "Big Ten is down" - that's baloney. Three teams in the Top 10 is down?
I find it ironic that Louisville and Rutgers were getting tons of attention and Wisconsin slipped under the radar once again. But that is how we like it knowing the past. The Badgers get no respect and just keep winning bowl games. GO BADGERS!

NO . . .
His team is winning with Barry Alvarez's players.
His team is winning with players that went 10-3 last year.
Lloyd Carr's team is winning.....all of their games.
They're winning, despite a 7-5 record last year.
They're winning, when every "expert" said that Lloyd Carr's job was in jeopardy, his team is done, and no longer a factor in the national championship race.
Where are those "experts" now?
I wish there were a 'rookie/first year head coach of the year' award, Brett Bielema would get my vote for that. But just because Wisconsin is winning, when no one expected them to, because of their first year head coach is not a good enough reason to award him with "coach of the year".
But, my vote goes to Lloyd Carr, for taking a team of "overrated underachievers" and putting them in position to play for and win a national championship.

No, they had a good record last year, had returning players and so forth...............i think it may go to Rutgers, who nobody thought would do anything or it could still go to Louisvilles Petrino, they did win after losing their starting running back Michael Bush in the first game and losing their starting quarterback for several games, yeah they lost one game so far but with losing those two they probably shouldnt have won any of those

Being the big Badger fan that i am, i say he should be. But, at the same time, i'm not sure he will be.
