Okay, it has been a great many years since I read these stories, but I think I remember the correct ones, though I don't remember characters' names. If you are comparing the stories, one thing they have in common is that the characters of both stories who are too prideful to be honest about their shortcomings end up sacrificing on account of it. The lady in the Necklace worked all those years to pay off the price of the necklace because she was too prideful to admit she had lost (I believe it was that she lost it, right?) her friend's necklace to begin with. In the Gift of the Magi, the husband and the wife are too prideful to admit to each other that they just can't afford gifts for each other, and both sacrifice so they don't have to admit the truth. A major difference in the stories to contrast is this point: In the Necklace, the lady's whole life is sacrificed to her debt. But in the Gift of the Magi, the husband and wife each realize immediately that the true gift they have is their love for each other, and can learn from the lesson in time to change and appreciate their lives.
Like I said, it has been like sixteen years since I read either of these stories, but I hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction. Good luck!

Both stories are comparable in that they have a "twist" ending and both authors are famous for this. (Many people think that these stories are ironic, but they are not).
How they contrast is that one is about excessive pride (The Necklace) where the woman borrows the necklace to showcase herself, loses it, has to replace it by working exceptionally hard because she will not confess, and to find out years later that the original necklace replaced a fake one. Had she only been honest with her friend from whom she borrowed the necklace, she and her husband would not have had to work so hard.
Gift of the Magi is about sacrifice that is made for love-an unselfish act. He sells the watch to buy her combs for her hair, she cuts and sells her hair to buy him a fob for his watch.

OMG, I just saw the Gift of the Magi on educational TV this morning!
What you need is a trick ending, my dear! A conclusion that no one saw coming! At least, that's what O Henry is famous for. Good luck!

I like the elemental one (no longer the red). Unless the red mmatches precisely, it might seem off. Plus, with having vibrant red attire in any case, that can be manner an excessive amount of red. The different (non red) one they are able to additionally use with many one-of-a-kind clothes, in order that might be probably the most versitile.
