#1 NO
#2 Possibly if it is an "e-book" (Books to me are heavy, thick, collections of bound paper, by the way). But still, how technical do you want to get here?
#3 NO Absurd to whom and why? For some cultures a steak ("cow") on the grill is an absurdity, to me it's DINNER!

1/. Destiny is something that is bound to happen, if you want it to or not (supposedly the concept is that). Therefore, no, you cannot escape destiny because whatever happens to you is your destiny. Just as you can't change the future. It hasn't happened yet and you have no way of knoeing whether it will happen or not.
2/. No. After you order the book on the Internet, the order gets sent to the company. They keep records of what your address is, where your bank account (for $), etc, etc. Then, people (or machines) package your book and it gets sent to you. (roughly how that happens. i suggest you research that one.)
3/. Absurdity means that it's abnormal, correct? well, then, define normal. Everyone is different, so you have no one to base normal on, no reference. So in a way, no, it's not. However, animals do not usually wear clothes, and so it can also be considered an absurdity. I wonder what your doing in class that would make your teacher give you such questions.
Well, hope that helps!

These are very hard questions, but I think they are aimed at making you think in a logical way.
1) Destiny - avoidable - just ignore it. (who says you have destiny?)
2) Ordering a book on the internet and paying for it by paypal for example, you would still have to wait for it be wrapped/addressed and taken to the Post Office - therefore you wouldn't get it that day - but ordering an EBOOK by paypay, it could be sent by internet instantly.
3) Ducks don't wear clothes, period. Therefore a duck in a three piece suit would be absurd,
easy!!

Can a person avoid his or her destiny?
Basically we need to know what destiny is...MSN Dictionary states this as "somebody's preordained future: the apparently predetermined and inevitable series of events that happen to somebody or something" so can you avoid what is already going to happen no matter what? no
Do odering a book on the internet and receiving it in the mail happen simultaneously?
Here we must ask ourselves what simultaneous means...
MSN Dictionary says "at same time: done, happening, or existing at the same time" and so do you get it as you are ordering it? no.
Is a duck in a three piece suit an absurdity?
Here we need to know what an absurdity is...
MSN Dictionary says "ludicrousness: ridiculousness because of being irrational, incongruous, or illogical" basically goeing aginst what you would think, so yes seeing a duck it a three peice suit would be quite illogical, so the answer would be yes.

Your teacher wants you to look up the meanings of the words destiny , simultaneously, and absurdity. the questions are asking you if those words are used properly in the sentence. ie.. define " destiny" ( use your dictionary ), and you will have the answer to question number one.
The techki is right, however its too bad the answers are just given to you. instead of putting you in the right direction and let you figure it out.
