How the hell does one tell if they're depressed or not?
there's no objective place inside my mind where I can look down and say "yes, this consciousness is sad", "this consciousness is happy!" No. You just decide it, there's no place in yourself that's free from your mood.
I felt better yesterday ;[
They're happy; I am not them ;[
All of it is arbitrary. You can't guage any of it without your present emotion bleeding over the comparison, so far removed.
I choose to be happy, happy, happy.
There isn't a person in the world, including myself, who has any means of proving or disproving that I am.

Yes I am. I have a funeral to go to tomorrow. A friend has passed and I
don't have that many to begin with. He didn't want to be here. I don't blame
him. The weather here is wet and cold. That always makes me sad. Yes,
I am. I know I shouldn't be sad for myself or for my friend who is on a
brighter path, but somehow I can't shake this lonely feeling.
