I asked a very Similar question but this is a bit different and I been boggled on it for a while.

Find the sine, cosine and tangent of the angle theta in the following right triangle...

SOHCAHTOA
sinθ = O/H = a/c
cosθ = A/H = b/c
tanθ = O/A = a/b

The sine of angle θ is the side opposite of the angle (b) divided by the hypotenuse (which is the side opposite of the 90° angle), which is side (c).

The cosine of angle θ is the side adjacent (or touching) the angle, which would be side (a), divided by the hypotenuse, which has already been defined as side (c).

The tangent of angle θ is the side opposite of the angle, already shown to be side (b), divided by the side adjacent to the angle, already defined as side (a).

The answer is as follows:
sin θ = b / c
cos θ = a / c
tan θ = b / a

Hi. Remember, Sin=opp/hyp, Cos=adj/hyp, Tan=opp/adj. Always, always, always.
