they will not be as easily led as the republicans and may have several investigations of what the white house has been doing for the last six years. impeachment may be off the table, but exposing bush as the dictator he would like to be is a definite possibility. remember, the republicans refused to perform ANY oversight of the white house and what it was doing. the dems will not be so compliant.

I would certainly hope they have a backbone. They'd better step up to the plate and do what must be done.
First they must investigate the real reasons why Don Rumsfeld resigned or was asked to resign. They must search for the connection between his resignation and private talks with Henry Kissinger (Nixon-Watergate era) in recent weeks.
The Democrats can maybe begin to organize a panel for investigations, but I doubt much will be done before they officially take their place in January.
If they truly understand why we voted for them to take over they will not be cowardly.

They have been for some time but the president still controls the military so that issue is sealed. As far as new bills go, we haven't seen any good ones pass for quite some time so don't expect much in the way of change there either. Honestly the only things that get voted in by these people is their own damn raises. It makes me sick.
