Is it a good idea to have the Great American Smoke out? How many have actually quit for good because of this one day?

i quit smoking Oct 9, 2006.

Nope.
I didn't hear about it until early this AM, late last PM.
Stressful.
Perhaps, but if they are going to continue to run this program, they need 2 things: More advance publicity, Additional advance publicity to connect people with the ACS 1(800)QuitNow program they have.
I don't know, but I heard on the radio, not very many over the years have quit because of this one-day event. The spokeswoman claims that everytime one attempts to quit smoking, makes it easier to quit smoking, and claims a 50 percent success rate with that Quit Now program, combined with some form of nicotine replacement therapy, such as gum, lozenges, the patch or some other form of NRT..
I went through the QuitNow program earlier this year, and almost made it, but so much stress came up in my life, I started smoking again.

Sorry - replaced into already more beneficial than 1/2 through with my first cigarette through the time I heard what day it replaced into, and that i had smoked yet another after I forgot what day it replaced into and heard it back.

I quit cold turkey 2 years ago.
I'm definitely healthier now without the cigarettes.

duh it should be out like the other smokes that kill you like pot Mrrijauna, etc. it can kill you, and its addictive. even ultralights can stikll kill ya and still are addictive. even though they have less chance htan kiling you htan pot and its legal, doesn't mean its alright to do it. it can still kill you. besides thats what god would say right.
