The car is a stick-shift (manual transmission) and sometimes when i'm shiftin gears (especially from first to second), it kinda grinds (makes an abrasive noise) yet the clutch is all the way in. It does get into gear but makes this gridning noise in the process. This even sometimes happens when im shifting into first gear with the clutch completely in and the car at a standstill. What could the problem be adn is it easy/cost efficient to fix?

If the clutch isn't worn out "Which it might be" you may need your slave cylinder bled. If it has air trapped in it it won't completely disengage the pressure plate from the fly wheel. Bleeding it by a competent mechanic would be the cheaper of the 2 fixes. If that doesn't work you need to see if the slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder is leaking. If they aren't your gonna need a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing installed. Hope that your flywheel is in good shape to or their gonna have to send it out to be resurfaced or replace it too.

this may sound dumb but try pumping the clutch petal. If this works you need to bleed the air out of the system. If not you prob have oil on the clutch plate. the recomended fix for that was always to put the car up against a tree and slip the clutch. just remember not to slip it too much as you are wearing out the clutch plate.

I believe your clutch is worn out. Have it checked in specialized shop for clutch or gear boxes before your problems get bigger

you should feel very special that the car is still running in the first place. it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging all the way,or the trans. needs to be rebuilt.

depends if you have air in your clutch line or if the fluid is low, but most likely you have a sychronizer in the transmission. very expensive to repair
