Did you get your brother something? If not, get him something, and buy what you want tomorrow. It's never rude to buy yourself something, it shows you care about yourself.

Your mom must be like mine was, real old school. She didn't start really taking care of herself until after 40.

If you're still living under her roof, you have to do as she says, but if you're spending your money, go ahead and buy what you want, just do it another day.

Why did you post this is Marriage & Divorce?

How old are you?

Your mom is the boss...until you grow up and move out of the house...sorry.

;) Wait for one more day and ask your mom again. Respect your mom and you will be respected by her. ( You must be really young.)
