Maybe they didn't like you inviting yourselves into their country and bombing and distroying everything in sight and forcing your alien western system on them.
I'd be kind of resentful if they invaded my country and tried to force the Moslem religion on me for my own good.

How can the people of Iraq appreciate democracy when they do not understand what that means. These people have lived with dictatorship for many years.
For a democracy to work, all people must be included in the process of legislation, not just in the voting of leaders. There are basically three groups of people in Iraq, each with very strong and different religious beliefs, with one group only being represented in the policy-making process, the other two will be powerless, and discriminated against. It needs to be fair and impartial to all groups within the country. And that did not happen. There needs to be Shiite representatives, Sunni representatives, and Kurdish representatives elected to the policy-making process in order for it to work. Only then will Iraq be able to claim freedom.

You're correct, Iraq was more stable before our involvement. Entire neighborhoods of people disappeared in the night. Families were buried alive. Villages destroyed, 8 year old children (girls) raped and passed on to the next soldier. Tell me that was better. Please, tell me.
Media has shown only one side in Iraq. I have contact with people serving in that theater and they tell a completely different story than the evening news. Imperialism is wrong, we agree on that. But the fact is this. It has started, we are hip deep in it, to run out now before a stable democratic style government is in place and can operate autonomously is a huge mistake for the entire region. And not the least issue of concern to me is the lives of our people lost to this point. It will have been for nothing, because we no longer have the stones to take the fight to these beheading, woman beating, bombing lunatics (radicalised Muslims).
No, we should not be there, but we ARE there. Do we do it right? Or do we back out on a promise made to the citizens there?

Bcause you didn't do it in an organize way,all that happened so fast, at the mean time many Iraqi children have no homes,no parents.....etc,but even though the world don't hate you, most of the people are so happy, because Saddam is no longer a president.
on the other hand,I agree with you there are some people against the humanity just like Saddam, they want him to comeback..................I think those people should be in a zoo with the other animals.

Sadly enough, the country was way more stable when Saddam was in power. No exit strategy, civil war, ravaged infrastructure, and sectarian bloodshed is just no way to live.
I'm just glad freedom and democracy (or at least the promise of it) came to the U.S. on November 7th......

would you be happy if some foreign nation suddenly invaded your country and told you that now you are a democracy, its the best way to be, and you should be grateful that they just destroyed a bunch of stuff to get rid of supposed terrorists? maybe you've lost a brother or mother or aunt. maybe your home was destroyed. would you really like that? what if north korea invaded and told us we were communist and it was the best and we should thank them for bringing their way of life to us?? just a couple simple questions...

Isn't that precisely the problem though? We've imposed our will upon yet another sovereign nation and put a government in place that will generally be seen as a puppet of the U.S.

The reason why the world is so hateful of us, is b/c of people like you (no offense, really). But the reason is that the world hates us is because we don't know why they hate us. it's our inability to look through the eyes of other cultures and to listen to the ideas and principles of others. Our inability to understand the impact our choices have on other nations.
They hate us because we don't understand why they hate us.

The folks who hate the USA government and wish for its overthrow would change their minds when the Taliban invades their country and force them to adapt their form of government.
Question: Then what would they complain about?
Answer: They wouldn't because that freedom would be taken away from them.
