The sum of the measures of the EXTERIOR angles is always 360. So subtract 162 from 180 to get an exterior angle (18) then divide 360 by 18 to see how many sides.

n sides in a poly gone

total degree's is 360

so 360 divided by the # of angles give you the solution

A closed plane figure with sides. If all sides and angles are equivalent, the polygon is called regular. Polygons can be convex, concave, or star. The word "polygon" derives from the Greek poly, meaning "many," and gonia, meaning "angle." The most familiar type of polygon is the regular polygon, which is a convex polygon with equal sides lengths and angles. The generalization of a polygon into three dimensions is called a polyhedron, into four dimensions is called a polychoron, and into dimensions is called a polytope.

The general formula for finding the number of sides of a regular polygon is:

Sum of interior angles = 180 (n - 2) ... (1)

where n = number of sides

For a regular polygon, all the sides and angles are equal.
So we have that:
Sum of interior angles = 162n ... (2)

Substituting in (1) we have
162n = 180 (n - 2)
162n = 180n - 360
162n - 180n = -360
-18n = -360
-18n/-18 = -360/-18
n = 20 sides

not enough information

you will have the same number of sides as interior angles

total degrees will be 360

total degrees=180(n-2) where n is the # of sides
total =162n so
162n=180n-360
360=18n
n=20
