I mean homosexuals shouldn't have to justify their behaviour saying 'we're born like that'. Homophobics won't understand them anyways, whatever they say. But I think homosexuality is fine even if it weren't genetic. What do you think?

Roberticv, I can't believe you have compared coprophilia with homosexuality. I find coprophilia disgusting, no doubt and I would never indulge in anything like that. But you're being a hypocrite because whatever homosexuals indulge in, heterosexuals indulge in too, the only difference being that the partners are of the same sex. The act of coprophlia disgusts me irrespective of the sex of the people indulging in it.

I totally agree with you. Whoever you pick to love, somebody's gonna object to them. As long as you've picked another adult and there's no abuse, what is the problem for anyone else? There should be none. We should all be able to make our choices. Our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are to be found in the Declaration of Independence, not the laboratory!

Yes I'm with you on this one. Having some back up in the fact that it is genetic though is good news. I guess there are many personal choices that are made by people and that can't all be agreed with.

I mean it can sometimes be a personal choice of a heterosexual to gay bash or be homophobic and not want to understand us. There may be there a nasty gene there for that but more than likely its a personal choice shaped by opinion.

Procreation is a relentless rule confident. in spite of the undeniable fact that, even mom Nature places barriers on breeding to a factor. Take the whitetail deer. If too a lot of them breed without being killed by utilising hunters in some type (human beings, wolves, undergo) than the inhabitants as an entire will ultimately be stricken by starvation and ailment because of the lack of the earth to take care of all of them. I view homosexuality as a welcome (and organic) substitute in the human would desire to overpopulate and ravage it relatively is host (the earth). Homosexuality leads to much less unintentional births which in turn leads to much less of an overpopulation problem. i'm no longer gay yet i choose to no longer breed on the muse that there are already too many little ones who choose stable mom and dad. If greater (no longer all) heterosexual couples would make this selection we could make this a greater proper planet to stay to tell the tale for the generations to come again. Homosexuality is a bonus to a species in this way. It enables to evade a possibility tormented by overpopulation to the contributors of the subsequent technology that would desire to have existed (and could exist in smaller numbers) if homosexuality did no longer exist.

Even if homosexuality was a personal choice, it has nothing to do with anyone else. What happens between consenting adults in their homes is up to them.
Homophobes don't understand a lot to be honest as they think everything is black and white.
As homosexuality occurs in nature as well as in human beings I would think that there is a genetic factor to it, as animals wouldn't know that it is a choice.

there is nothing wrong with it...and I think it IS genetic. I've never been attracted to men, always to women. and I was afraid to come out for a long time because of all the haters that were/still are around. would I choose to be someone who ignorant people hate/harass/abuse/kill or try to kill? no!
the haters don't understand....and they never will. they just don't get that you can't judge someone without walking in their shoes.
I am who I am...my family, friends and coworkers accept and love me for who I am. I don't have to justify anything to anyone.

Absolutely! In fact, I wish more people would stop saying "It's right because I was born that way.", just because then people who would attack homosexuality declare it a personal choice and the problems start all over again.

I think whoever you love and whoever you decide to spend your life with is no one's business but your own. You are living your life for yourself not for everyone else, so do what makes you happy. Even if it WERE a choice it should still be respected because in the end, we are all human before we are anything, and that in itself deserves respect.

I agree. Consenting adults should not have to justify their behavior if no one's getting hurt. Certainly, straight people do not have to explain why they like certain sexual practices. People should quit peeping into the bedrooms of others and mind their own business.

Even if it WAS a choice, as long as it involves 2 consenting adults and no one is getting hurt, why should anyone else care?

2006-11-16 13:14:28 · answer #9 · answered by ByTheSea 4 · 4 0

Sure. Why? Because I don't care. People should sleep with whom they choose, as long as it is consentual on both parties, both people being adults, and neither married to anyone else.
