I'll do the FIRST one:

a) you know its a product of factors in x and y:

(x y)(x y)

Since all the coefficients are positive, both are "+"

(x + y)(x + y)

Since the leading term is x^2, you are done with the x's.

Now, find two numbers who product is 4 and whose sum is 5:

1 and 4:

(x + 4y)(x + y)

Check your work by using FOIL to multiply it back out to the original question.
