my best friend... D, *not real name*, has a scary problem with her teacher, Mrs. S.. mrs. s scares her w/ her mascara-covered eyes and her bleach-blonde hair. mrs. s is kinda old, so u know hat stare they can give someone.
but D sits in the very very VERY front, in a desk that sticks out in front of the other rows. to make things worse, D sits in front of 2 girls she dislikes, ashley (who she had a SERIOUS problem with last year) and taylor, (for reasons i dont know)
one day, D asked mrs. s when they were going to switch seats. mrs. s guessed that D didnt like her seat. (it gives her a cold sweat from nerves) D nodded lightly, and mrs.s said "oh then i guess ill keep u there." D stood there, dumbstruck. then mrs.s said "i dont want to have to learn everyones names AGAIN."
D's like, HELLO, U HAVE ONLY KNOWN US FOR... 2-3 MONTHS!!! but of course she didnt say.

Poor D...

what can i do to help D geth through with this problem?

A number of options. I wouldn't bow down to that kind of control and manipulation.
Start mild Then take bolder steps.
First she should ask her mother to get involved. Sometimes one adult can put a dent in another adult's agenda toward a child. She should talk to the teacher first then the principal then the superintendent telling each the effect on D's morale and the teacher's indifferent response.

Maybe her mother can take further actions.
If I were all on my lonesome I'd play passive aggression. which is agression with a different face on it.
When the teacher talks I'd look down as if dejected. If she asked me to look up I'd look up very sad and keep up the expression.
I'd ask again and cry softly at the answer seeming to accept it.
Keep it up every day with different words.
" Please change my seat I feel so bad here" "I would really appreciate it." Feeling out the situation I'd put my head down and go to sleep, acting depressed."
Keep asking writing authorities and standing up to the bully teacher. Talk to her after class and ask her "Why won't you change my seat. I'm very unhappy there. I'd really appreciate it if you would change my seat." "You're a smart teacher. Why should you forget my name? If you do just call me any name I won't mind. I'll remind you."

There was a marvelous book written some years ago called "Games people play" giving you techniques such as this to win. You may be able to find it on Amazon.com
or ask for it at Barnes and Noble.
Don't let anyone make you play an unfair game. Get out of the box to find answers.
Your friend has given in too soon. Bullies expect them to. But once you stand up to her, the bully will back off.

Give the old lady a rest. She is old and thay are grumpy.I have to sit next to a girl that I have had SIRIOUS porblems with in 5 periods so it doesn`t go that well for me either.Anyways,if you have only been wiht her for 2-3 months, that is sort of early.give her time and if things keep on going the same way go to a counselor and ask her for some advice. If that doesn`t work then talk to mrs.s and tell her how she is making your friend feel.

Tell D's parents to go to the principles office and tell everything. Or you could ask the teacher and if she says anything just say that D's classmates bug her and that you will gladly write your names on a piece of paper for her.
