Jaguar X8 Timing Belt & Trans problems-which years were affected?

I'm thinking of buying a 98-2000 XK8 and wonder what years had these expensive problems. What are average maintenance costs per year? How much is a tune up, oil change,60k maintenance? The cars look cool, prices have dropped, I was disappointed by the acceleration-but it's all good. I appreciate you feedback!

I can't find any info on a timing belt problem.... The only recall items I can find are a recall on the fuel filters. They tended to leak making a possible fire hazard. And the throttle pedal some times would stick in the open position. Those problems might be from an earlier model than you posted
