In our system, the turnover rate in Congress is less than it used to be in Communist Russia's ruling body, the Politburo. Congressmen are by and large corrupt. Election is based on money. Lobbyists rule, not the people.
Am I being politically incorrect?

In a true Democracy, everyone would vote on every desision.
So it's not a true democracy.
It is a representative democracy, basically a republic.
We vote for the people that will make the decisions instead of voting on every decision.

The United States is not a democracy - it is a Republic ruled by democratic principles. It's amazing how many people don't know this.

unfortunately you are 100% correct! The average candidate accoring to USA today spends 800 million dollars in a run for the presidency!

This place is run by Military Industrial complex,Very very short sighted people.and they tell you every day at least 100 times a day about freedom and democracy.

Money rules.Those people in DC don't care one dam bit about the people of this country. What about KING Kennedy of Mass.He has been sen.for 30 years.They can't de thrown him because his family ownes the state of Mass.

I was just answering a question from a guy who thinks Mason's are running the country. Only thing I know for sure is "I" ain't runnin' it.

The rich guys are always giving it to the poor guys. Always have and always will. Only thing we can do is just weather the storm, cause if you ain't greasing the leaders palms........ they are deaf when you talk to them. Hell-of-world ain't it?

Whatever it is, it surely isn't , for the people, by the people. It's all about the money.
