I'm going to tell you the same thing the doc told me... He told me not to worry about anything that I did before I found out that I was pregnant.
Honey, that's why they run all of those tests. They make sure that everything is okay before you have to endure giving birth to a baby that may be really screwed up.
I smoked with my first baby. I was young, and really didn't know better, but with this one, I do. My first, however, turned out more than fine. He's eight, now, and healthy, smart, and happy.
If you stress yourself out, you're going to do nothing but make yourself freak out until your doctor can reassure you (which he undoubtedly will).
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. You're almost done. Congrats.

I had to go to a genetics/specialist when I was pregnant with my son and the genetics chick said as long as you stop smoking before your third trimester all the effects are reversed. I smoked until i was 20 weeks pregnant. I didnt drink after I found out.(I had a 47 ounce daquori and a few shots of three days before I found out ) But I gave birth to a very healthy 7 pound 12 ounce boy at 37 weeks. He's now 2 months and 13 pounds 8 ounces and still perfect.

Don't be worried. You stopped as soon as you found out. You should be worried if you would have kept doing it. I had a cold when I was starting my pregnancy. I didn't know I was pregnant, and I had loads of medicine. When I realize I was worried and then I said, he's there, I'm still pregnant and He'll be fine. Don't worry. All those feelings are not good for the little one

If it was just "every now and then" and you stopped after six weeks, I really don't think you have much to worry about. Back in the day, before we knew there was any harm, I was an occasional drinker through my first two pregnancies and a smoker through all 4, and all my kids turned out brilliant. Relax and look forward to a beautiful, healthy baby!

Before I found out I was pregnant, I was drinking like no tomorrow too, and it made me very worried later. But I asked my gynae and he said that at that early stage of pregnancy, if there was any harm done, it would have killed the embryo already. So the fact that it survived most probably means that it should be alright!
Good luck!

Honestly if you stopped smoking and drinking after you found out you were pregnant I don't think you have to worry about it unless you continued. Besides it takes a while for the baby to fully develop

No worries. As long as you rectified the situation as soon as you found of that you were pregnant. In fact it is okay for you to have a little wine while you are pregnant. They just warn against over consumption. Congratulations and Good Luck. You and your baby will be fine.

s long as you stopped when u found out u should b ok. There is always a slight chance that something could have happened, but long term exposure is the main reason for something to go wrong. U have good odds no need to worry

First of all, good for you for quitting, that is the best thing you could have done for your baby!! If everything has been normal throughout your pregnancy, you shouldn't worry too much! Not that it's okay, I'm probably lucky, but my mom smoked and drank throughout her pregnancy w/ me and as far as I know, I'm "NORMAL" LOL...but really, you did the right thing, I'm sure everything is fine, unless your dr. has given you reason to worry! Don't stress over it, just get yourself ready for this wonderful experience you are about to have!! Congrats and best of luck!

You should be fine because a lot of people drink and smoke when they don't know that they are pregnant. If there was any type of birth defects it should of been up when u had the alpha fetal protein test.
