Do you find it difficult to go in 'cos of the overwelming smell?

Sundaegirl - but then, I usually am, so I can't really blame them (lol)!

Kimbridge - no, def. UK. There's a chain of shops called Lush that sell bath products. Nothing seems to be packaged, and it stinks to high heaven. Believe me, if you lived near one, you'd know about it!

No, I like the smell - you can smell it all the way up the street :-)

I find it difficult to go in because of the over-attentive, patronizing staff who treat you as if you're on the rob...

Yes there is! You can strongly smell the products from down the street! I find it overpowering just to go near the door let alone in the actual shop!

Yeah .. and it gets right into your passages ..you smell it before you see it!

Have been inside, but it's too expensive and don't believe any of the products are any good, as a friend has tried and tested and gave it the thumbs down!!!

As an alternative the Body Shop aint bad;o}

Interesting. I've never been to England but it would appear they smell the same all over. I wonder if, like here, how is it you can see out of one of those places, should you have the dubious fortune of finding yourself in one, but you can never see in? Let's slap a new name on them. Say, ' Reekers ' ?

Yes. There is one in Harrogate. It is next to Woolworths.

When I lived in Nottingham there was one there too.

There is also one in Leeds and in York (the two closest cities to where I live).

Mmm... soap...

We have one in Taunton here in Somerset, I can not go in there as it triggers my asthma. Plus I get an awful rash due to all my allergies, so I avoid the shop.
