We have been dating for 1.5 years now and he is currently stationed in Iraq. He loves the outdoors...camping, kayaking, hiking, and rock climbing. He also competes in triathlons and will be doing his second iron man next November. Last year, i gave him a flat faced watch and some running shoes...This year, i have no idea!! Please help...I love to give unique and meaningful gifts, i try to stay away from clothing for the most part.

How about a triathlon wet suit? Or maybe a bag for his triathlon gear. You could get him a trainer for his triathlon bike so when he gets home he can ride indoors when the weather is bad. The only other thing I can think of is one of those dry fit shirts that's supposed to keep you cool when your running or cycling in hot weather.

That's all I can think of. I hope that helps. Thank you both for your sacrifice. I'm always thankful to our military men and women!

Well, he's camping for real, so that might be out.

Why not ask him, or ask someone in the Armed Forces? Soldiers usually appreciate care packages from home: favorite foods and the like. Maybe he needs a protective vest; I'm not kidding. You can e-mail him for ideas, or you can contact the USO or some branch of his division of the Armed Forces and ask what the soldier in Iraq needs or likes.

Put together a photo album for him: it's portable and is a way to record all of the accomplishments he's made as well as the things that happened while he was away. If you know some of his buddies in his unit, get them to write down a funny story about your bf and include that inside too.

Any guy might take exhilaration in a music shop present card. Then he can go with what to purchase. you will possibly desire to get him a CD, yet till you recognize which of them he already has, you will possibly desire to finally end up giving him a replica.

since he is away from home can you maybe send him a little piece of home? Ask his parents/ siblings of special traditions or just those little things that allways mean so much.
