personally i think ally looks more like a cat name.
in the notebook the name "ally" is spelled allie and i think that looks better. same name different spelling. and you could always name her Allison and then you could call her 3 different names: alice, allie, or her full name allison.

i'm gonna name my kitty ali short for alligator.

anyways if youre really set on ally..
its french and means 'of noble kind'
you could use ally as a nickname for the names: allysiah, allyson, or allyssa.

i glimpsed at your other questions. still looking for a middle name? how about renee? or mae?

Ally is cute and is a form of a lot of different names, each contain their own meaning and origin. Look it up! But here's couple I found, this is one form of Ally:
Alisha : (Greek) Truthful
(German) noble
And Landon, I love!!! That is my sons name!!! It is an English name and means: open, grassy meadow. His full name means
A preacher's cottage in a open, grassy meadow. The meaning of a name is VERY important to us and usually makes it or breaks it, Good Luck!!!!

You know, at first I thought 'oh wow that's cute!' but then I started thinking of how kids could make fun of that name and changed my mind. What kind of things do you usually associate with 'allies'? Nothing good!

Not bad. If I have a daughter I'll name her either Veronica or Valentina (I'm Cuban so they're both kind of Spanish names).

I love it. I love that we are now naming our kids with more "old fashion" names. Sarah, Olivia, Emily... I Just can't imagine an 80 year old named Brittany.
