sure it is called courtesy and most people lack it these days! especially on the bus! I know what you mean; like I wana hear some girl or guy fighting with their gilfriend or boyfriend over the phone or especially swearing when their are kids present! You should be the cellphone ettiquette spokesperson! I will join your team too!

Wouldn't matter if there was, people have the choice to be rude if they want. I agree with you though. I work in a grocery, and people come in and use the 2-way. It's loud, and beeping and buzzing and private conversations blasting all over. Why not use the cell phone ? Texting would not bother me at all, at least it is not intrusive. And it is hard to have a customer on cell, and you don't know if he's talking to you or to his call. But those damned 2-ways are the worst.

There is such a thing as cell phone etiquette. Unfortunately people seem to get more and more rude every year. It kills me to be in a nice restraunt and hear someone cell phone go off. And you know they aren't going to excuse themselves and leave the table. No, everyone within 5 tables will get to hear the one sided conversation. I think cell phones are a horrible excuse for people to be even more rude than usual.

It is really one of the more annoying habits of modern society. The lack of common kindness & courtesy certainly shows clearly with this most irritating problem. There is etiquette, but sadly most do not care to follow it anymore.

i think just by having common courtesy for people should do the trick but obviously everyone does not think that way,I too agree that people should avoid talking on their cell phones in certain places. i take public transportation and it gets under my skin to hear people talking very loud on their phones and the conversation is usually about nothing very important..TEENS IN PARTICULAR.there should be a law restricting cell phone use in certain places.

There should be. I hate when there's someone behind you and they say what's up or how's it going and you turn around because you think they are talking to you and they're on the phone. Drives me nuts.

Yes, there is. There are certain places where cellphones shouldn't be used.
