Because every living organism does a violent act to another living organism. It's just life in general.

Only way we can eliminate violence is to eliminate all forms of life. Period!

I believe that if we teach Kohlberg's paradigm of moral development we may begin to erode the grip that violence has on our culture. Kohlberg posited that through empathy and understanding of others we can learn and develop a higher sense of what is appropriate behavior in regard to others.

We can't. It's in human nature that we have violence in our instincts. If we completely eliminated violence, then we would have one HECK of a population overdrive. the world would be more crowded than it is.
