District court - all felony cases, plus civil suits
County court - all misdemeanor, petty offense, traffic offenses plus civil suits
Federal court deals with federal jurisdiction

District courts are federal courts. They are the federal trial courts. (as opposed to higher federal like the federal courts of appeals and the US Supreme court which generally hear appellate cases).

A district court covers a smll area. A federal court or higher court covers the whole country.

my understanding is they are the same thing.federal courts each cover a district usually of multiple jurisdictions for service..
