I don't think they SHOULD, but most people, if they ever will marry, do so before 35 y/o on average. This goes male and female. I found that over and over when I was single again at 45, and guys my age range of 35-55 were like stuck in neutral if they had never been married. It's like they are afraid of the leap.

BUT.....

If I conversed with persons of the same age range who had DIVORCED or were WIDOWED, they were very pro re-marriage. Even despite the heartache and expenses, these people were willing to date seriously with marriage as the end product MORE than persons who had never taken the plunge.

So, I am engaged to a man who is 10 yrs younger, he was married for 2 yrs and divorced, and he's very pro-marriage. We'll probably set a date this coming spring.

It's just that commitment thing again. If you haven't gone thru the experience before, the fear of divorce is so strong, and the comfort in being single so strong and embedded in the psyche, that it's hard to restructure the mindset.

NO. I was married by age 20 and broke up in less than 4 years. It just depends if it was meant to be. I feel that I will wait a while until I get married again and then it may never happen.

Peace, Love and Hope 2 ya :)

Not unless both people are ready. Or you might not be the marrying kind. Most are ready around the age of 35 though. Of course, one should not marry unless they are SURE it is a lifetime thing with both people working well together.

NO..there are some people who should never marry. I mean that nicely. People need to stop worrying about the biological clock and wait for the right person....geesh everyone concerned about time and not the quality of life...oddly enough alot are divorced by 35.

it all depends on the person. it's not a crime to be single at 35. just dont feel too much pressure. its better to wait untill you find someone you would be happy with years from now and when you are old and gray, than to rush into something that you were pressured into and have it spiral down and make you miserable.

No, people mature at different levels and may not be mature enough by 35 or even 42.

I think we dont have to...but is common and some people just freak out and marry anyone just cause they think they are getting older and then that wedding ends in a divorce
