I have another question. My gyn told me I had a partial hymen. What is it exactly and will it cause me pain during intercourse and for how long ? My friend told me it will not be pleasurable until it goes away on its own.

From www.coolnurse.com:

Many people are under the impression that the hymen is located within the vagina. It is not. It’s a mucous membrane that is part of the vulva, the external genital organs. It’s located outside the vagina. The hymen is a layer of tissue, just like the tissue around the opening of your vagina that partially conceals the vaginal orifice. You may or may not have one, most females do. The hymen is not an indicator of virginity; a girl is a virgin until she has been penetrated by a penis.

If you have a partial hymen, it means you just have a layer of tissue. It might make it slightly painful when you have intercourse, but it will stretch or go away.

You're fine! I've included a GREAT link with diagrams to help you out.

Partial Hymen

Its not uncommon for the hymen to break in a young active female, without intercourse. When you do become sexually active, there is a possibility of some slight pain when the partial hymen is penetrated. This is not a carved in stone rule, each person is different and the best advice, since a physical exam via the Internet is impossible, is talk with your doctor and get direct advice from them.

Again, each person is different and I have had people relate to me that there was little or no discomfort, all the way up to sharp pains. Do yourself a favor, and it will ease your mind, talk with your doctor.

The simple answer is yes. The reason being is that you cannot see whether or not your hymen is in tact. Most girls break their hymens riding bikes and playing sports - it is a mysnoma to say that the only exercise that can break your hymen is sex. Furthermore you can get PG whether your boyfriend withdraws or not. Pre-ejaculate, which is released before ejaculation can contain upwards of 2 million sperm. Safe sex combined with the pill is the only sensible way to stay PG and misery free.

If you two are *that* close you can get pregnant, yes. It's been recorded that individuals who were unclothed and messing around have gotten pregnant - whether that was the case or not we don't know but.. it's said to happen. Cover it up as soon as it comes out.
