my stepdughters mum took it back to the shop, and they said it was the laser that was broke and that it would cost 70 pounds to fix, however her dad just got her anther off ebay, and now we still have a damaged one and i thought about selling it, but saw on ebay that they are selling lasers cheap enough, so thought abou buying a new laser and letting my dad fix it as he knoews about stuff like that, then we have a playstation for our house!!! and im not duh!! i am quite clever i just thought someone out there might know about things like that!!

There is an awesome STEP BY STEP on the TECH TV web site .... under screen savers (one of their shows) search the site if you can. Tells you everything you need to know. I was having a problem with mine and there walkthrough worked!

duh take it back to the store and send it in if you open it and try to work on it urself....then u void any warrenty there might have been


or you can


open it up pour a glass of water on top of all of the components and then close it back up and try to start it when it wont work bring it back to the store and when they ask why you let it get wet tell them you were trying to play a fishing game and you wanted it to be more realistic
