Jumbo Seafood is a Chinese Seafood place on Langley in Newton Center. It's awesome.

I live in Newton and there are lots of choices. One I'd recommend for Italian is Appetito in Newton Center. For more casual, cheaper fare, Union Street Bar and Grill also in Newton Center is good. If you are near West Newton at all, Paddy's on Elm St. is good. The Cheesecake Factory in the Atrium Mall on Rt. 9 is also a classic--tons of menu choices, reasonable prices, great cheesecake for dessert!

There are so many restaurants in Newton. If you like really good seafood go to Legal Seafoods in Chestnut Hill.
