Is there any kind of makeup guys can wear that doesn't look like they put on too much?

Find a full service salon or a freelance makeup artist that does makeup applications using custom blend cosmetics. You can get a foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. I have used it on Grooms on their wedding day and it is not detectable at all, it just evens out the skin tone, hides redness and blemishes.
For eyes you could use a clear mascara and on lips a sheer beige lipstick or gloss which you can get at almost any cosmetic counter (or you could also have them custom blended to your specs).

Personally, I'm not crazy about guys wearing makeup, but if they want to wear it, I'd advise to do just the eyes. No mascara and no eyeshadow. Eyeliner is good.

One of my best guy friends wears eyeliner and eyeshadow. He usually wears Covergirl or MAC eyeliner and an Urban Decay Shadow, and I think it looks kinda cute. When he first started, it looked like too much but I've gotten used to it, and he's gotten better at putting it on so I think it looks great.

Actually, there is a special brand of make-up especially for men. I can't remember the name of it though :/ But everything just looks really natural - like mascara (but they call it something different for the guys) that's clear and cover-up and stuff.

don't you think male celebrities always weare make up, boy can put avon's make up they just gotta know how to put it on.
