I have the sims 2 for pc
and it has 4
cd's
i was wondering if i was EVER going 2 use the other disc's
beside the first disc

no, you'll only use the first one for play, but you need all four for installation, so don't lose them. if you have to reimage your computer and only have one disc you'll have to buy a whole new game.

You need all four in order to download the game but after that you will run the game from disk 1. Once you get an expansion or stuff pack you will no longer need disk 1.

No, they only have information on them.
I think when I installed sims2 university it asked me to insert disc 2 or 3 (probably to prove I had the original game)

No, they just have stuff to install on them. Make sure you keep them though, just in case you would need to re-install.
