Yes. Fat cells are consumed for energy, which is why you can lose weight by exercising. When you eat extra food, your body converts the excess energy into a storable chemical form, fat. When you push your body to consume extra energy, as by exercising, the fat cells are raided and you lose weight.

The last answer almost has it but not quite. Fat is mobilized from adipose (fat) cells, in response to lowered glycogen stores in the liver and muscles. The now empty cells remain in the body for a long period of time, but not indefinately if they remain empty. This is why crash dieting, ie. losing 30 pounds in a month is a bad idea. The fat is gone, but the cells remain, and when the dieter goes back to eating an unhealthy diet, the adipose cells fill back up. When the cells are allowed to be reabsorbed, new ones must be created before more fat is stored. This is what causes the quick fluctuation in weight of a person newly off a diet vs. someone who had been thin previously if given the same calorie surplus.

No, the fat will be taken away. The fat cells are the one who store them
You must be thankful as fat is important
It is for:
making cell membranes
to prevent excessive heat loss and water loss
If human loss 10% of the water, we DIE!

no, all the fat cells you have, you were born with unless you have them sucked away with liposuction, you can diet, and excercise the fat out of the fat cells, but the cells will still be there, just not filled with fat, until the next time you get lax and not watch your diet, excercise, etc... liposuction is the only thing that will permanently remove fat cells..

Baggy clothes hide one's body and encourage lounging around. So even though you're relaxing at home, wear fitted clothes to help keep you on track.

of course they do. how else would people get fit? go jogging to burn off calories. but don't burn too much or else you'll get too weak. and make sure you eat good foods too. eat lots of grain and vegetables. cut down on the meat and junk food. and instead of chips, snack on celery. when you eat celery you burn more calories chewing it than it gives you.its recommended to have at least 30 minutes of exercise three days a week.
