Often the grammar and spelling is so awful I don't even understand the question.

Well you have to remember Yahoo answers is accessed from all over world,so not all ppl can speak or type perfect english.

A lot of users learn from submitting questions, and have others point out if question was asked differently they would be better understood, hence they learn to communicate better.

I think a lot of ppl don't realise they can use spell checker on top RH cnr of box, BUT then they still have to understand the correct word to select....

It's a case of whether you want to try and answer some cryptic questions or leave it alone, but I prefer to attempt to answer with out all the abuse some unfortunate pp get.

It's a case for horses for courses,I feel it's more satisfying to try to help than to get a cheap thrill by dissing someone cos they spell question wrong in our eyes..♥

No, you're actually not on my own! I even asked an identical question and have been given a brilliant sort of excuses for solutions. "Spell verify is only too slow" or "being concerned approximately spelling is a waste of time. as long with the aid of fact the purpose is known, why might desire to we care if we spell it wisely." It broke my coronary heart. human beings do no longer seem to understand that maximum appropriate spelling, grammar and punctuation count number very much contained in the worldwide. It shows your point of training, care and integrity. Now, for some, that could sound pompous or rightous. of course, i'm having a wager the commonplace participant does not understand those vocabulary words. thank you on your question. i think extremely much less on my own. i'm getting a kick nonetheless, that those are the comparable people who spend hundreds of greenbacks on cloth wardrobe with the intention to modern-day a definite sort. yet, they do no longer see that one and all which sort capacity under no longer something the minute they initiate talking or writing. there's a asserting that's greater often than not misquoted. many human beings think of "lack of information is bliss" is precise however the quote is, "the place lack of information is bliss, that's folly to be clever." might desire to all of them think of that sounding ignorant is "cool"? God help us. those are the hapless souls which would be working the practice sooner or later. Oh, yeah....they're working the practice. George W., in an interview a pair of days in the past, stated he did no longer "pronounce words so stable" and observed as for the upload-ons linked to many expenses to have "greater transparency" as they are not getting seen while being placed to vote. Rome is falling and there is nowhere to cover.

You should think that not all of them are English,or know English very well and that's why they make mistakes. For example I am romanian so my first language is romanian.I don't usually make any spelling or talking mistakes in romanian but I do in English. You will be in the same situation if you'll try to speak or write romanian, you will also make mistakes.

I don't care that much as long as I an understand it.I realize people just need answers quick and are careless, or English isn't their native language.
The only time it bothers me is on the Education section when they are criticizing someone else for the same mistakes they are making.

If perfect spelling drives one nuts, this is definitely not the place to be. Yahoo! even provides a spell checker icon.

This is an open forum, so anything goes, and all are welcome. There is a diverse population represented here, including barely-English-speaking peoples from many different economical environments, and I think the many different communication styles are interesting. It can be distracting...I agree...but this isn't college. It's life.

I believe they should at least use the spell check feature. They apparently have no common sense.

i think you are being judge mental,.that is unfair that you think your so high and mighty.
you are the reason, allot of people, have a low self esteem, and the reason, why people give up in life.
does that make you feel smarter.
well i hate to tell you,
(your not)! your are no better then anybody!!
so if you don't have anything nice to say,
don't say anything at all. I'm sure your mother taught you that

so the next time you ask a question, make it intelligent after all your the smart one. you can do better than that . can't you?

Sometimes I find it a bit annoying but nobody's perfect,
so I choose not to be severely judgmental.
