I know that depending on popularity, time depreciation and scarcity, some comic books wind up being worth a lot of money in the U.S. (like the first issue with Superman is something like 50,000 dollars or something). I'm wondering, do old issues of manga that are popular in the U.S. increase in value as well?

If they're out of print, it may increase the value, I suppose. Sailor Moon's manga is out of print and collectors are looking for it left and right. It's hard to find it because it's rare, but I'm sure the popularity is what makes it valuable too.

I personally think the manga will be worth more than the new comicbooks will be because there are so many of them and everybody is hanging on to them... the manga is popular and not everyone is allowed to have them or hang onto them.. Collectors are all big kids really. They want what they wanted when they were kids!

I don't think so, since you can pretty much buy them everywhere. Maybe if it's a really old series and in the original language, but it still wouldn't be worth anywhere near the old Batman/Superman/etc. comics.

Only if you sell them to the right people, if they are colecters, the they will totaly go for it.
