8(w+4)=w^3+2w^2-8w
<=> w^3 + 2w^2 -16w - 32 = 0
<=> w^2(w+2) -16(w+2) = 0
<=> (w^2 - 16)*(w+2) = 0
<=> (w-4)*(w+4)*(w+2) = 0

i can help with the first half use the distributive property and u get 8w+32=w+-8w so what u can do is subtract w from both sides and you'll get this:7w+32=-8w then u can subtract7w from both sidesand get this: 32= -15w then divide both sides by -15 to get w by itself and once u do that ur awnser should be -2.13=w the whole process is a basic repeatetive step of inverse operations.
