There is this hooker on my street who's been at it for about 42 years, if you ask me her fire has been burning a long time.

Well, the oldest one I know of is in Centralia, Pennsylvania. Someone in a coal mine accidently lit a garbage can on fire in the 1960's, and the mine has been burning since. As recent as 1981 the town had a population of 1,200, but has since dwindled to just 12 people due to government evacuations and such. Below is the Wikipedia link to the town.

If you are talking about a standard flame here on earth that has something to with Man, there is a coal mine in Centralia, Pennsylvania since 1962. Following link tells the story:

There are underground fires in coal seams that have been burning for decades.

well there are coal mines still buring forver since i can remeber in coal country in i think either kentucy or pennyslyvania.

the earths core is a fire. fire with a fuel source and oxygen can burn forever.
