About how many songs can an 2GB Ipod nano hold?

Each minute of a song is 1 mb. Each 2GB holds 2000 MB which is 2000 minutes.

If a song takes 5 minutes then doing the arithmetic of dividing 2000 by 5 you get 400 songs.

What kind of songs are you putting into it? If you put all classical song into it, it holds considerably less than if you put song snippets. Although I'm not sure how many song snippets a person will put on an iPod. That would be confusing! You'd be listening to it and then it would change like 10 seconds later. That would get annoying. Although if companies advertised that their iPod held 1029340398490 song snippets, they may be able to make their product look so much more impressive. Would that make you want to buy it?

It depends on how long each song is. It would hold more songs that were shorter and less that were longer.
