After I restored windows, all of my itunes music and my photographs were gone. Last time I restored, my stuff was fine. What happened and is my stuff just hidden?

My itunes runs fine but there isn't anything in the library and I have tried searching for my pictures. I did a recovery restore. And all of my other programs are still intact.

I restored by restarting my computer and pressing f9 or f10( I cant remember) while the black start up screen was up.

Did you do a recovery restore or a Destructive restore? If all your data on your computer is gone you probably did a Destructive restore. You can get programs that will find the files that have been deleted that are stored in your freespace as long as they haven't been over written.

How did you do the system restore? From Windows restore point? a backup? It depends how you did it. Surch the c drive for .wav .mp3 .mp4 .gif .jpg and see if anything comes up.
