If you really want to, I think it's okay to wear a little make up in middle school (mascara, lip gloss). Don't wear foundation or anything too heavy because you don't really need it when you're wrong. If you're insecure about zits or other blemishes, look for a light concealor or cover up to wear only on those areas. I'd say freshman year is the right age to really start wearing make-up regularly. Don't wear too much though, a little goes a long way and looking natural is always the best way to go.
Make-up can be fun, don't be afraid to experiment for special occasions and stuff.

It depends on what kind of make up. If it's blush with eyeshadow and lipstick and what not , that would be too overboard for a 12 year old. The right age in my opinion would be 15 or 16.

I started around 12 or something like that. But whenever you feel ready is when you should start wearing it. Since you're asking about it, you might be ready now. You don't have to cake it on, just wear enough to cover what looks bad and enhance what looks good. I started out with eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss.

it is OK to wear some mascara, lip gloss, and eyeshadow in middle school but eyeliner can be a little strong on young people if you must wear eyeliner wear brown not black. Also don't wear any cover-up or foundation until you are like 16. And never borrow anybody else's mascara.

Like 12-13. Makeup ruins your skin. Foundation gives you zits. A lil blush and some mascara never hurt anyone :D

Well, I think high school. The thing you should always remember is: Keep it simple!!!!!! No one wants a painted clown face. I mean, I'm in college I barely wear makeup. I put on lipgloss, and I'm good to go. Keep it natural. Less is more, don't overdue it. Everyone is gorgeous in their own way. You have to believe that you yourself is gorgeous, otherwise no one else won't.
