To reset your home page to whatever you prefer, navigate to that page, whether it's Yahoo or your ISP, or whatever. When you have that page on your screen, click on Tools, then Internet Options. At the top is the Home Page box with the IP address of the current page. Click on Use Current, then Apply in the bottom right corner, then OK. That will set this page as your home page. To change it, just do this over again. Good luck, and hope this helps!

Go to tools under your explorer option. Click on internet options from the drop down tool bar. Then select the option called blank, and then set the blank option as your default browser. Then click on apply, then click on ok.
I assume you have adware on your computer. To completely get rid of this problem. Open your start menu, select programs option, select accessories, select system tools, select registry restore, then select a time before your computer had the adware installed on it. Then following the instructions, and your computer will be fine, and the adware, and trojan will be gone.

This same problem with one of our clients drove me nuts for nearly an hour. Each time we changed the home page, it changed right back. Deleting all references and all files just got them recreated the second we opened up internet explorer. Spyware and virus scans were empty.... big "scratch your head" time.
The problem is with one of your protection programs (firewall, antivirus or antispyware). Some malicious programs change your homepage. So... the firewall or antivirus blocks them from doing so. In the process, some will actually block YOU from changing your own home page.
Unhook from the internet (so you can't get infected). Turn off all your antivirus, firewall and antispyware software. Change your homepage. Make sure it sticks. Then restart all your programs and reconnect. Your problem will disappear.

Open the page you want to use as your home page. Click on Tools \ Internet Options \ USE CURRENT \ Apply \ OK. Close and open your browser. Problem solved, right? :-)

it's maybe coz you have a corrupted/hi jacked web browser. the prob is easy to address if you had put what browser you use (IE, firefox, opera)...but you can always solve this prob in general by going to the browser's preference/option then change the start-up homepage settings.
