The angle is given. Horizontally means with an angle of 0 degrees elevation.

You can find how long the ball takes to travel 60 ft horizontally (60/147.84 seconds), so, knowing the acceleration due to gravity (which you will have been given), you can calculate how far it must fall in that time.

t = 60/147.84 = 0.405844156

distance d covered by falling body in t seconds = ½gt²

g = 32.174 ft/sec²

d = 0.5 * 32.174 * 0.405844156 * 0.405844156 = 2.649681386 ft

An angle is not needed to find this answer. Neglecting air resistance, the time to travel horizontally will equal the time to fall vertically.
Therefore, the time to reach the plate can be found like this:time =distance/rate= 60ft/147.84 ft/s=0.4 s.

The distance an object falls can be found using the equation distance = 0.5(g)t^2= 0.5(32 ft/s^2)(0.4s)^2= (16 ft/s^2)(0.16 s^2)=2.6 feet.
