I know you are stressed out, but that's not too bad of a stretch for such a young baby. You have to have some support from either your husband, friends or family. Let them help you. The most important thing for you to do sleep when the baby sleeps and feed the baby if you are breastfeeding. If it's 10 am or 2 am, sleep if the baby is sleeping. The baby is far too young to try to make the baby cry it out or sleep when you want her to. Unfortunately she is the boss for a little while. It will get better!

I have a six week old son that goes to bed at 8 pm wakes up at 11pm to eat and doesn't go back to bed until around 1 am then wakes up again at 5 am to eat again then wakes up in the morning at 9 am. I also have a daughter that 20 months and she has always been on the same schedule bed at 10 pm and wakes up at 10 am. Every baby is different and as they get older their schedules start to become routine so my advise would be to try to keep her up more in the day time so she will sleep more at night time in that 4 hours she is awake. GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS on the new baby

Me and my husband use to do shifts. One night I would do it all night and he would sleep in another room, then I would sleep and he would take care of baby. Try to get someone to do shifts with you.
But your baby is on a normal schedule, try keeping her up durning the day dont let her sleep as much. When she wakes at 3am give her a pacifier and soothe her back to sleep. It wont hurt to leave her in the crib and you sleep as long as she doesnt cry you don't need to stay up from 3am -7am...

I completely understand. My daughter was born at 4.55am and was an early riser who awoke at least once a night up until school age. Perhaps you can keep her up later than 9.00pm. Give her a small feeding before bedtime so that she will not wake up from being hungry. Try white noise, its a great technique, whether it is the clothes dryer or a radio that is on yet not tuned to a station and all you get is hiss and static. I have also heard that swaddling a baby can be very comforting to the baby.

I too am going through that exact same sleep schedule with my new baby whom is also 7 weeks old, i think its just a phase and soon they will sleep longer as they get older, so i've heard... don't worry though it won't be like that forever, good luck though oh and try to take little naps if you can whenever your little one does that may help a little...good luck on the sleep though!

You now have to adjust to your baby's schedule, its no longer about you. Until you learn to sleep when shes sleeping your gonna be sleep deprived. Dont worry, in a few months it'll get better.

I have a 4 wk old...here's my technique. I wrap him up tighly in a receiving blanket, "burrito style" and play some soft music while rocking him. That usually knocks him out. If I just sit in bed holding him he'll never go to sleep. I hope this helps.

If your relationship is good with your mom, then ask her. If not then talk to your friends, some may even offer to help you out and watch your child for a couple of hours so you can sleep. It is a stressful, and congratulations for seeking help.

sounds like you need a little break so you can sleep. Try asking your mom, grandma, or someone like that to watch her so you can get a little rest. If they can't help you, just try to make sure you sleep when she sleeps.
