I would get professional help for him to find out why he's doing the things he's doing.

He needs some counseling but won't lkely be agreeable to it. Pretty soon he will break himself up and then will regret what he has done, assuming he lives. How about taking him to visit some "friends" of yours at a rehab hospital. when he talks to them and sees how they got hurt, that might do it. Make up some story about why you need him to go there with you.

Let him be. It probably hurts from your perspective, but maybe that is exactly what he wants to do. Maybe if you talk to him about how you feel about his acts of self-defiance he'll either be honest with you about what is really going on or he'll brush you off. Which then would allow you to move on with your life.

is it fearlessness of death or not caring about living? if fearlessness of death, he is just an adrenaline junkie. if not caring about living, that is still suicidal.

I would stay away from such a man... You can't "help" him, this is how he lives his life, and who's there to say his way isn't the "right" way?

nothing you can really do if he isn't free to talk about it. just be there and offer to know where he is comming from. say things that have reason to him.
